Desktop Panels is a small tool to easily display gifs and images on your desktop.
Note: This is an early-access version.
As the development continues I will update this page as well.

Just drag & drop your gifs and images into the window and you're
done.
This is also possible with multiple files at once.
Just hold the right mouse button and scroll with the mousewheel.
Removing a Panel can be done via Panel-Options or a triple-click.
Panel-Options allows you to customize your Panels and provides the following options:
- Locking and Duplicating
- Changing speed and opacity
- Toggling Always-on-Top
- Toggling Click-Through
- Fix for fast/slow playing 60fps gifs
- Pinning of Panels on Windows*
- Removing the current panel
- closing Panel-Options window
* Does not work with UWP/Windows Store Apps
The Configurations page allows you to:
- Save, Load, Delete and Rename Configs
- Save a Config as a new one
- Clear all current Panels
- Open the content folder of a Config
- Open the Steam Workshop interface
- Refresh your Steam Workshop Configs
The Current Panels Page shows you a list of currently active Panels.
You can manage your Panels together with the docked Panel-Options window.
NOTE:
Good to know if you have accidentally enabled Click-Through and therefore cannot open the Panel-Options :D
Desktop Panels allows you to share your Configs in the Steam workshop easily.
Open the Steam Workshop Interface, fill out the fields and Publish your Config.
You can subscribe to Workshop Items on the Steam Workshop Page of Desktop Panels.
A General Settings Page which currently allows you to toggle between 2 settings:
Autostart will automatically start Desktop Panels on Startup (Without UI and will load the current Config)
Offline Mode disables the Steam Status for Desktop Panels (Some features may not be usable e.g., Workshop)
This page allows you to set Hotkeys for your Configs.
The 'Toggle all Panels' hotkey toggles the visibility of all current Panels
You can create a Hotkey for each Config you have, with any key combination.
(seriously - There are no limits :D)
You can enable/disable the state of a Hotkey or remove it entirely
The goal is to have a very simple to use and lightweight app to enhance your desktop experience.
Not only should it be used for images and animated GIFs on your desktop, but it also should be recognized as a "productivity tool" for various target groups.
But before this status is met, I thought it would be a good idea to release it in an early access state.
I dont know how but while developing Desktop Panels, she came to life
